Highlights of the Special Interest Group (SIG) on Values-Based and Sustainable Innovation at the annual ISPIM – International Society for Professional Innovation Management ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ include a masterclass on sustainable innovation cultures, a track of 15 peer-reviewed paper contributions, and our own paper on โValues-Based Effectuation for Resilient Growthโ.
๐ A masterclass on sustainable innovation cultures based on the new bookย with Kiril Ivanov and colleagues from the IMPACT project. We celebrated the release of a facilitation card deck featuring 68 practices and methods to establish sustainable innovation cultures. And we thanks deGruyter publishers for bringing some book copies to the community.
ย
๐ Our ๐ฆ๐๐ track on Values-Based and Sustainable Innovation hosted 15 excellent papers, advancing important insights into sustainable innovation as a values-driven translation process: Impact is achieved when strategic commitments turn into governance, investment choices, and everyday organizational practices โ across ecosystems and communities.
ย
๐ One particularly exciting paper, first authored by Marwa Shaaban of Media University of Applied Sciences Berlin, explored new market creation in Dubai through the case of Property Finder: โFrom Mission to Market: Values-Based Effectuation for Resilient Growthโ.
ย
๐ Hot topic discussions on Sustainable Innovation Cultures and a session on our new European proposal on Generative AI for Social Innovation and Education rounded off active contributions from the SIG. Together they remind us that the future of innovation depends not only on new products, services and business models, but on the values, cultures, and collaborative learning architectures through which they are developed.
